From 1901-1926, prizefighting was banned in Chicago. Amateur boxing matches continued to be held however and the Game Room at Chicago Athletic Association was a featured venue
Named for bygone club member and University of Chicago coach A.A. Stagg, the Association’s actual basketball court and gymnasium have been reimagined as a unique and versatile event space.
The original floorboards and hoops are back in play, as is the vintage running track that overlooks and encircles the court, bringing a winning new playbook of creative possibilities to any social occasion.
Whether you’ve come to shoot hoops, play games or host your next event on these hallowed floorboards, dribbling is definitely encouraged.
