A Culinary Adventure
- DISCOVER YOUR INNER FOODIE -
From morning coffee to evening cocktails, a progressive dining experience awaits under our roof, where we’re home to seven of the city’s most-loved dining and drinking establishments. The ultimate destination for foodies - whether you’re a blossoming one or an established expert - each of our unique venues when put together comprises a culinary journey unlike any Chicago hotel.
And this spring, all seven of our establishments are re-opened and ready with warm-weather vibes and seasonal dishes. Here, you can truly choose your own epicurean adventure – working through all of our destinations or mixing and matching. Each one offers not only different tastes, but distinct atmospheres. With spring rates starting at $209, why not come and explore them all?
Come along as we travel through a day of culinary discovery. And while we’re certainly not suggesting you need to hit all these spots in just one day, no judgment (in fact, much respect) if you do!
- RISE AND SHINE -
Hit 0 the minute you wake up without getting out from under your Sferra linens to start the day with in-room dining. There’s plenty of grab & go options like Overnight Oats with flax seed, local jam and pistachios, or go decadent with Buttermilk Pancakes with whipped creme fraiche and smoked maple syrup. If you’re heading out to explore or for an early morning lakeside jog, stop by Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea for a cold brew or kombucha.
Decadent Dish Picks:
Vosges Chocolate Truffle Mocha at Fairgrounds
In-room Chicago-Style Hot Dog Breakfast Hash with eggs, all the fixings, mustard aioli and celery salt
- LUNCHING AND BRUNCHING -
Now open seven days a week, stop by our rooftop jewel Cindy’s for a delicious lunch with a side of views. (Yes, we expect the obligatory cocktail shot in front of the Chicago skyline from our open-air terrace.)
Cindy’s is the prom queen of CAA (read: she’s popular) but day-dining Mondays through Fridays always offers a better shot of scoring a lakeside table. Or, if you prefer a moodier vibe, our new Drawing Room brunch comes with a relaxed atmosphere served around three roaring fires.
Decadent Dish Picks:
Cindy’s Not-So-Secret Secret Burger with pimento cheese, gouda, bacon jam, B&B pickles, cherry bomb aioli on a sesame brioche with fries
The Drawing Room Van Doozer with two eggs, bacon, toast and no joke, the world’s best hash browns
- THE LATE AFTERNOON SLUMP -
When that late afternoon slump hits, find your way to the Game Room, our original billiard room that’s now home to bocce ball, shuffleboard, chess, checkers and, of course, billiards. Order up a Frozen Raddler with Short’s Lager and topped with frozen Malort, grapefruit, pomegranate and lemon.
Decadent Dish Pick: Parson’s Chicken & Fish Fried Chicken Sandwich with American cheese, lettuce, pickles, garlic mayo and hot sauce on a brioche bun with fries
- WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN -
When day transitions to night, make your way to Land & Sea Dept’s James Beard award-winning Cherry Circle Room. Tucked in the back corner of the hotel, CCR is a reinvention of the iconic restaurant of the same name that served the Chicago Athletic Association and its members for generations. Swank wood panels and a clubby windowless vibe provide the perfect backdrop for throwback cocktails and tableside dishes.
Decadent Dish Pick: Duck Leg Confit with spaetzle, butternut squash, leek and haskap berry jam
A LIQUID DINNER
If you prefer to drink your dinner (again, no judgment) then discover our hidden eight-seat microbar, the Milk Room. Once a speakeasy used by members during Prohibition, today’s iteration features spirit-forward cocktails utilizing extremely rare, vintage spirits and hard to find ingredients.
Decadent Dish Pick: The whole experience is decadent, trust us! Just make a reservation and find out for yourself.
- TIME FOR A NIGHTCAP -
You can’t leave our dining mecca without experiencing the burger delight that is Shake Shack, but this time surrounded by stained glass, soaring ceilings and marble staircases in our historic lobby. Of course, you can always order Shake Shack to your room through in-room dining (the only hotel where you can, in fact) and pair it with a bottle of our private label wine with our friends at Eola Hills Winery.
Decadent Dish Pick: Go for the classic ShackBurger with lettuce, tomato and the famous ShackSauce
- BOOK YOUR STAY -
So, it’s clearly a no-brainer to stay and dine with us and that includes a cocktail and cuisine credit for up to $100. Your only decision now is how to spend it.
