When the Bears Won Super Bowl XX in 1986


With Super Bowl 50 coming up between the Broncos and Panthers, it’s amazing to imagine the 1985 Chicago Bears won Super Bowl XX in 1986 — 30 years ago. You would never know, based on their record the last few years, they ever had a winning team that was nearly undefeated, but it’s considered to be one of the best teams in the history of football. Chicago truly rallied around the Bears, as can be seen in the photo above from Calumet412.com. But almost even cooler was the creation of the Super Bowl Shuffle, a recording and video that was a massive hit back then. Check out this video featuring Walter Payton, Richard Dent, William “The Refrigerator” Perry, Gary Fencik, Jim McMahon and all the guys from that winning team.
