Van Gogh's Bedroom Series in Chicago

For the first time ever in North America, Vincent Van Gogh’s incredibly famous series of paintings, dubbed Van Gogh’s Bedrooms, will be on display together. On Feb. 14, the Art Institute will open the exhibit that explores the master’s “relentless quest for home” through a collection of 36 paintings, drawings, letters, an interactive digital experience and even a reconstruction of the famous bedroom at the “Yellow House” in Arles in the South of France. The museum will hold a grand opening gala on Feb. 20th and will host lectures, screenings and performances all related to Van Gogh’s Bedrooms through May 10th.
