Tour The Chicago Athletic Association with the CAF

Get an inside look at Chicago Athletic Association's history and architecture from an expert.

There’s so much history within the walls of The Chicago Athletic Association, and if you were to walk the hotel on your own, you’d likely miss out on key details. Even if you did notice some things, you wouldn’t get the stories behind it all. We’re excited to announce that The Chicago Athletic Association has teamed with the Chicago Architectural Foundation to offer tours of the property.

In addition to going through the lobby’s Drawing Room to see all the stained glass, carvings, etchings and more, you’ll also be taken to some private spaces and hidden treasures like the White City Ballroom, Madison Ballroom and hotel guest rooms, if available. The tours, limited to ten people, take place each Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. Reservations are not required, but recommended and you can get tickets for the hour-long guided tour through the CAF website here for $15 a person (CAF members can attend free of charge).
