Take a Hike on The 606

After more than a decade in the works, what started out as the Bloomingdale Trail will now open as The 606...

The 606 is a 2.7-mile multi-use recreational trail and park set on a once-abandoned elevated train line. Entrances stretch from Ashland Avenue out west to Ridgeway. The 606 intersects and connects 20,000 residents across numerous neighborhoods including Lincoln Park, Bucktown and Humboldt Park. Like the High Line in New York, the 606 will serve as a gorgeous way to bring Chicagoans and visitors together.
