Sing in the Holiday Season

Handel's Messiah at the Harris Theater

An annual tradition, Handel’s Messiah brings people together for two nights of beautiful choral singing backed by an orchestra. Conductor Stephen Alltop guides the 125-person Apollo Chorus, which has presented Messiah annually since 1879, through this incredible work, a wonder from the Baroque period. The choral concerts take place December 19th and 20th in the gorgeous Harris Theater at Millennium Park. Tickets range from $30 to $60. Afterward, you can head back to the CAA for dinner or check out any number of great spots along Michigan Avenue. Don’t forget to take a selfie in front of Chicago’s official Christmas tree or at the ice rink in Millennium Park.
