Valentine’s Day may be revered as the day for romance, but at the Chicago Athletic Association hotel, any night can be an old-fashioned romantic getaway. This 1-night stay features in-room custom chocolates, two Old Fashioneds at Drawing Room, Cherry Circle Room or Cindy’s, and breakfast for two (whether in Cherry Circle Room or in-room dining). What’s more, work with the concierge team to write your partner a love letter ahead of your stay, and get access to the hotel’s historic mailboxes to surprise that special someone with their own mailbox key.

An Intimate Evening in Milk Room

Milk Room offers a special Valentine’s Day experience for two. Couples will be greeted with a welcome cocktail built for two (served in a coconut, at that), followed by a choice of two cocktails from a special menu designed by Paul McGee. Guests will also be served a seafood platter for two, a charcuterie plate with terrines, pickles and mustard to accompany their drinks, along with a box of chocolate with assorted bon bons to take home, and a departing cocktail. Bienvenue à Cindy’s Candies, a pop-up shop for sweethearts. Come for the sweets, stay for the card-making, cocktail toasting, and love letter-writing. Open Wednesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 14 from 4 – 7 p.m. in Cindy’s, Cindy’s Candies offers assorted sweets for purchase, including Chocolate Bon-Bons, Pâtes de Fruit, Assorted French Macarons, Strawberry & Dark Chocolate Malt Balls, White Chocolate Marcona Almonds, and more.

‘No Scrubs’ Valentine’s Day Party in Game Room
Thursday, February 14 (8 p.m. – 1 a.m.)
Game Room is throwing it back for Valentine’s Day with a No Scrubs dance party for the whole crew. DJ Audio Jack will be playing ’90s and early 2000’s hits – think back to the high school dances from a time gone by. Bubbly drink specials from Moët & Chandon will be available, plus a large-format cocktail from Paul McGee to share amongst pals.

Pump up the jams – the Chicago Athletic Association hotel’s roller rink pops up again this month for two nights of public skate sessions for singles, couples, trios, and more:
• Thursday, February 14 (6 p.m. & 9 p.m. session): DJ Iggy sets the mood with classic love jams to swoon to and songs to scream alongside with, fitting for the heart that’s broken, skipping beats, or just downright full of love for roller skating.
• Friday, February 15 (6 p.m. & 9 p.m. session): Want to roll into the weekend with a little less fluff? Flip the script with DJ Oreo, and get down to skating – for the love of hip-hop.

Treat loved ones to a special, swanky Valentine’s Day in Cherry Circle Room’s James Beard award-winning space.
