When it comes to places to get well-mixed cocktails at the CAA, you are hardly void of choices. You have the Drawing Room, Milk Bar, the Game Room, Cherry Circle Room and Cindy’s. And now you have one more.
Starting June 10 to coincide with the first-ever fresh water America’s Cup sailing competition taking place that weekend on Lake Michigan, the CAA will host the Cherry Circle Yacht Club pop-up lounge in the hotel’s The Tank (formerly the indoor pool) on the first floor. The pop up will happen Thursday through Sunday each week through June 26 and the Land and Sea Dept. team, led by beverage director Paul McGee, will run the game. The space is named in honor of the CAA’s former yacht team and its boat. Look for McGee to feature vintage and nautical-themed cocktails while also serving Anchor Brewing beers and Moet Champagne.
And be sure to check out the Storyteller Series: Ship To Shore Productions with Photographer & Great Lakes Surfer Mike Killion June 16 also in The Tank. Hear stories of Lake Michigan’s surfing community (yes, it does exist) and see vivid photographs of surfers braving the Great Lakes’ harsh winter.
