FALL / WINTER 2018 – It’s hard to imagine, but yes, the holidays are just around the corner. Don’t get stuck without any plans for your company, friend or family gatherings. The Chicago Athletic Association hotel has many options for events both elaborate and intimate. We can offer full catering, a sit-down meal, a fun cocktail party and more. Won’t you join us?
Here’s where you can hold your holiday events:
Cindy’s: With some of the most beautiful views in the city, Cindy’s would love to host you either in our semi-private lounge space, private dining room (complete with our own Warhol!), or for a full buyout of the rooftop restaurant. With the outlet open year-round, menus rotate seasonally to feature the freshest local ingredients. Terrace fire pits roar in the cooler months to keep you toasty if you step out to admire the view. Submit your event inquiry via Gather.
Stagg Court: The reimagined 4,482-square-foot former indoor track and gymnasium is a unique space with athletic flair to host an event for up to 500 people in a cocktail setting or 280 seated. Not unique enough? A pop-up roller-skating rink is available for rental this holiday season – skate the night away with up to 150 guests and 4 hour packages available. Rink booking dates are open from December 15-22, private or semi-private; with food and beverage options.
The Tank: What once held the Association’s indoor pool is now a cool venue ideal for public exhibits, performances, installations and creative semi-private events for up to 260 people. Popping up after Thanksgiving in The Tank? Happy’s – our holiday pop-up bar – will be back and decorated with all the trimmings. Great for groups between 20-100, Happy’s will be open November 23-December 29 and offer catering, liquid cheer, and beloved bar games. Select dates are available for private bookings.
The Ballrooms: Whether you choose the 2,330-square-foot Madison Ballroom with its grand crystal chandeliers hanging dramatically from a gold-leaf ceiling or the 3,580-square-foot White City Ballroom with its vintage stained-glass windows that open up to look out over Millennium Park (or both!), you can truly have an event worth remembering.
Game Room: Come with your closest 10 friends or open it up to 250 to play bocce, billiards and other games while you sip classic cocktails and enjoy sharable bites.
Drawing Room: Our grand lobby space features original stone fireplaces, mosaic floors, gorgeous woodwork and cozy lounge seating to come together with 10 to 100 guests for cocktail parties or a prix-fixe lunch or dinner prepared by Cherry Circle Room for up to 30.
Cherry Circle Room: Who doesn’t want to enjoy lunch or dinner with 40 to 80 guests at a James Beard Award-winning restaurant? Cherry Circle Room transports guests back to another time with rich leather booths and and a curved bar original to the property.
Milk Room: If your idea of a rollicking holiday party involves gathering 12 friends or co-workers to enjoy rare and vintage spirits, this is where you need to be. This authentic Prohibition-era bar serves up classic cocktails in a historic setting.
