Need to get moving, but you have a hard time getting motivated? Chicago Athletic Association recently partnered with On Your Mark Coaching + Training, a local Chicago personal training team founded by Nike Master Trainer Emily Hutchins. On Your Mark will offer complimentary group runs with a trainer every Saturday. It’s open to both guests and members of the public.
Runs are scheduled for 8 a.m. each Saturday and you can simply show up at the CAA’s first floor “In the Know” desk outside of, ironically, Shake Shack, by 7:45 a.m. That should give you even more motivation to run off what you know you’ll be eating later.
Hotel guests can also sign up for personal training sessions through the hotel. Just give the hotel 24-hour notice when you arrive. And if you’re hosting business meetings or conferences at the CAA, you can schedule athletic breaks with OYM. These can include 15 to 20 minute instructor-led stretches and energy breaks, 60 to 90 minute team-building activities and 30 to 60 minute pre- and post-meeting workouts.
