MSI After Hours: Oddities and Curiosities

Check out quirky artifacts at the MSI

You can only imagine what interesting, quirky and odd things the Museum of Science and Industry has sitting around. Yes, many objects are on display all over the fantastic museum down in Hyde Park, but with more than 35,000 pieces in the collection, not everything can always come out to play. But on Oct. 21, the MSI will hold the adults-only MSI After Hours: Oddities and Curiosities. From 7 to 10 p.m., the MSI will allow guests to check out some of their more intriguing artifacts while also listening to a live talk with the host of WBEZ’s Nerdette podcast and the museum’s head curator. For $25, guests gain access to these rare pieces, but also get to wander a few of the exhibits, including Brick by Brick, Science Storms and Above and Beyond, the museum’s newest temporary exhibit. Your ticket also includes free parking, snacks and a free cocktail.
