Movies in Millennium Park

It's your last chance for the Millennium Park Summer Movie Series

Millennium Park has been screening movies all summer and if you haven’t gone out for the free films, you’re almost out of luck. Fortunately there are still a few left. Each Tuesday through September 1st, movies are shown starting at 6:30 p.m. on a 40-foot LED screen set up at Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Guests can grab a seat in the pavilion or set up a blanket with a picnic on the Great Lawn.

While a number of films including Back to the Future, Edward Scissorhands and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory have already been shown, there are still three left. Mark your calendar to check out the iconic summer vacation flick Dirty Dancing (August 18th), Mahogany starring Diana Ross on her rise as an international fashion model (August 25th) and John Hughes’ ’80s coming of age in suburban Chicago winner The Breakfast Club (September 1st). If you miss these, you’ll have to wait until next summer.
