Back for its second year in Douglas Park (after getting the boot from Humboldt Park), Riot Fest gets bigger and better each year. The lineup for the Sept. 16-18 weekend-long ode to rock and indie music includes some heavy hitters like Morrissey, The Flaming Lips, the Original Misfits, Ween, Julian Marley, Death Cab for Cutie, Nas and Sleater-Kinney. Last year, organizers went all out for Riot Fest’s 10th anniversary, but you can bet they’re going to take things to the next level this year.
Three-day and single-day passes (GA and VIP) are still available ranging from $85 to nearly $700 for the deluxe VIP pass. Getting to Douglas Park from the CAA is as easy as grabbing an Uber or hopping on the CTA and taking the Green Line to the Pink Line, which drops you a block away.
