Let the Good Times Roll!

Experience Mardi Gras in Chicago

Laissez les bons temps rouler! It’s Mardi Gras time and Chicago is gearing up for a big party. Fat Tuesday lands Feb. 9 and plenty of places around town will open their doors for the celebration. Whether you’re looking to turn up the tunes with a second line and a brass band, suck some (crawfish) heads or take a look into outer space, there’s plenty of ways to celebrate Mardi Gras.

Mars-di-Gras at Adler Planetarium: On Feb. 6th, the Adler Planetarium will say “laissez les sciences rouler” as they explore the Red Planet. Starting at 10 a.m., the museum has a full day of events both educational and playful, including two midday sets by the Lowdown Brass Band.

Heaven on Seven: Reserve your spot for one of the best Mardi Gras parties in town as chef Jimmy Bannos Sr., pulls out all the stops with plenty of great eats, lively music and, of course, loads of beads the weekend of Feb. 5th and on Fat Tuesday, Feb. 9th.

Fremont: Hit this new spot in River North for an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil Feb. 9th from 5 to 8 p.m. For $35 get plenty to eat while you groove to live music.

Frontier: Starting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 9th, drop $35 for a shrimp boil. Want more? Frontier will also have red beans and rice, shrimp po’boys, sazeracs and live music. Get tickets
