The Ice Rinks Cometh

Chicago's ice rinks are open – here's where to go

Fall has been fairly mild, but that shouldn’t stop you from embracing cold-weather activities. No, we’re not advocating skiing down Cricket Hill in Uptown, but if you want to don a pair of skates and hit the ice, there are plenty of places to do that in the city. No matter if you want to brave crowds at Lincoln Park Zoo and Maggie Daley Park or take things a little more local in one of the neighborhoods, you have plenty of options all over Chicago – outdoor and indoor.

Loop: Maggie Daley Skating Ribbon: 337 E. Randolph St

Loop: McCormick Tribune Ice Rink at Millennium Park: 201 E. Randolph St

Lincoln Park: Lincoln Park Zoo: 2001 N. Clark

Wicker Park: Wicker Ice: 1425 N. Damen

Hyde Park: Midway Ice Rink: 1130 Midway Plaisance North

Beverly: Morgan Park Sports Center Ice Rink: 11505 S. Western Ave

Avondale: McFetridge Ice Rink: 3843 N. California Ave
