Au Cheval
— The double bacon cheeseburger there makes me cry tears of joy. Real tears. 800 W. Randolph.

Homeslice — I absolutely cannot get enough of their patio. I get antsy to go there whenever it’s sunny outside. I love everything from the décor to the awesome pizza to hanging with the owners’ French bulldog, Gary, on the patio. It’s just an overall great summertime hangout. 938 W. Webster

Parson’s Chicken and Fish — I always feel like it’s officially summer in Chicago when I can sip on a negroni slushy and eat a fried chicken sandwich all while hanging out on their amazing patio. 2952 W. Armitage

Brimfield — This place is PLAID HEAVEN. There’s nothing I crave more when winter rolls around than some amazing plaid and stuff that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This is the perfect place for such. They have tons of amazing blankets, home décor, accessories and much more. It feels like you’re walking into the coziest house ever. 5219 N. Clark

Nomad Food Company at Green City Market — I’m literally obsessed with everything that they make. Get up early and grab a breakfast ‘za and black garlic and goat cheese omelet. You’ll thank me later. Lincoln Park near Clark and Lincoln.

Museum of Science & Industry — I definitely did not appreciate this spot as much when I was a child, but I’m absolutely obsessed now. I love spending the whole day there and geeking out for hours. There’s so many unique hands on activities and cool stuff to learn about. 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive

Bohemian House — My current favorite spot for brunch in Chicago. I could eat the lox & toast and the smoked beef tongue hash for breakfast every single day of my life. And it makes me sad they’re only open for brunch on the weekend. 11 W. Illinois

Caffe Streets — I’m obsessed with their Monkey Latte, an amazing combination of espresso, milk and an organic housemade banana reduction (and there’s chunks of real banana in it!) The spot is extremely photogenic and that makes me quite happy. Perfect combo. 1750 W. Division

Owen & Alchemy — The Ca gogi bowl & the #58, made with cold brewed organic coffee, raw almond and cashew, maca, vanilla bean and maple syrup are the best way to start the day. I even have it delivered via Postmates during the week when I can’t get over there. My obsession with this place is a little ridiculous. 2355 N. Milwaukee
