Sure, in theory families should love to spend many meals together throughout the year, but with schedules the way they are these days, getting any time with family is precious. That’s why it’s so important to gather on the big days: birthdays, anniversaries, Halloween (come on, why not?) and, of course, Easter. That’s why the Chicago Athletic Association hotel has put together a fabulous feast for that day.
Get ready to don your Easter pastels, pack up your Easter basket and head down toward our beautiful hotel across from Millennium Park with the whole family in tow. Once on property, you’ll take the elevator up to the White City Ballroom, where a jazz trio will greet you and continue to perform throughout your experience.
Executive Chef Christian Ragano and his team, spearheaded by Banquet Chef Josh Miyake and Executive Pastry Chef Jove Hubbard, have an absolutely delicious menu planned that includes made-to-order omelets with an array of ingredients; a spring salad bar featuring the best of locally sourced produce; four spring soups including chilled spring pea soup and Andalusian gazpacho; a variety of cured meats and cheeses; a smattering of seafood like smoked salmon and poached jumbo shrimp; a carving station with hand-carved smoked pit ham and herb-roasted leg of lamb; a made-to-order waffle bar; and, of course, a buffet specifically made for the kids with favorites like grilled cheese and buttermilk chicken strips. View the full menu description and start thinking about how you’ll build your plate(s).
The buffet will cost $135 for adults, $65 for kids ages 6 to 13 and free for kids under 6. Adults can add optional bottomless mimosa or bloody mary bars for $30 each. Brunch will run between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and you can book your table through Reserve. If you drive, we’re offering $16 discounted parking up to four hours. Please note a credit card will be requested at the time of booking and will be charged 50 percent of the total bill if parties cancel 48 hours or less.
