Hop Into Easter With Us!

Have a Peter Cottontail Easter brunch at the hotel!

MARCH 2018 – Easter is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends, to dress up in your Easter pastels, to watch with love and you see kids giggle and run around looking for hidden Easter eggs. And this year, it’s also a chance to add a little enchantment and whimsy as the Chicago Athletic Association hotel will create the world of Peter Cottontail.

Join us as we transform the Gilded Age grandeur of the White City Ballroom into a magical brunch wonderland. Kids will enjoy 30-minute storytelling sessions conducted by our friends at WITS (Working in the Schools), getting up close to animals at the Scales & Tales Traveling Zoo, face painting, a game area with bean bag toss, connect four and shuffle board, and posing for pictures with Peter Cottontail!

The April 1 affair takes place below167 twinkling stalactite lights and in the glow of Millennium Park just outside floor to ceiling windows in this majestic ballroom. We’re taking reservations between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., but space is limited, so don’t won’t too long to book! Easter brunch for adults will cost $100 and come with a glass of rosé while the price for kids is $45, including entertainment and activities. Kids five and under can join free of charge. If you want to loosen things up a bit, we’ll also have a $20 bottomless Bloody Mary and mimosa bar as well as offer a full cocktail and wine list.

Executive chef Christian Ragano and banquet chef Josh Miyake have planned a bountifully beautiful buffet that includes, among other things, a made-to-order omelet station, spring salad bar and soups, cheese and charcuterie, a smoked salmon and shrimp cocktail display with fresh bagels and hard cooked eggs, carving station with herb-crusted roast prime beef and lamb, and a hot fish station with seared Alaskan halibut, roasted Faroe Island salmon and spicy Gulf shrimp. A separate kids buffet will feature buttermilk chicken strips, mac and cheese, chocolate chip pancakes, a waffle sundae station, dessert station, breakfast pastries and so much more. Need to start drooling? Check out the full menu. Please note that for brunch bookings, we will request a credit card at the point of reservation and a 50 percent charge will be applied if the party cancels with 48 hours.

In addition to all the fabulous festivities, we’re also offering discounted parking at $16 for less than four hours during brunch. Want to make a weekend out of it? Book a special room for as low as $135 a night (between March 30 and April 2) by using code COTTONTAIL when you reserve.

Last, since Easter is a time for reflection and spreading love, we would be remiss to not mention our WITS book drive! This special piece of our Easter brunch, which helps preserve the nature of storytelling and shared experience, will help sustain after school reading programs at Chicago Public Schools. Please bring an unused book for reading levels ranging from K-6th because all kids deserve the joy of reading!

If you’re looking for something less formal, join us upstairs at Cindy’s for brunch as usual, in the Drawing Room for Easter high tea starting at noon, brunch in Cherry Circle Room or let loose at the Easter Keg Hunt in the Game Room with limited-release special tappings from Three Floyds.
