Grant Park Over Time

Grant Park has always been Chicago's front yard

With more than 300 acres, Grant Park offers Chicago a perfect front yard to play. Whether 400,000 people pack it during a four-day Lollapalooza weekend or families set up to picnic and pitch a volleyball tent, the park has enough space for everyone to run around. It plays host to numerous festivals all summer, like Blues Fest and Jazz Fest, features the iconic Buckingham Fountain and connects downtown to the museum campus. Chicagoans have always utilized Grant Park as the above photos from Calumet412.com show. Enjoy taking a look back over time.
