Gear Up to Bike the Drive

Whether you're a local or visiting Chicago over Memorial Day weekend, one of the best activities all year is Bike the Drive...

MAY 2015 –The city shuts down Lake Shore Drive from 5:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 24th and allows cyclists to take their bikes onto the lakefront highway and ride. You can do bike the entire length 30 miles or choose to do part. Either way, it’s one of the most exhilarating events as you peddle along with thousands of others down one of the most gorgeous roadways in the country. Sign up and pay in advance ($47 for adults, $16 for kids 17 and under) here.
