From Miller Bottling to MillerCoors

Miller Brewing had a plant in Chicago in 1895


While the company’s headquarters sat in Milwaukee, the Fred Miller Brewing Company had a bottling plant in Chicago. The photo above, courtesy of Calumet412.com, shows workers outside the company’s Chicago branch, where they bottled their German-style lager. Today, MillerCoors, which emerged in 2008 when SABMiller merged with Molson Coors, is headquartered in Chicago. It is one of the largest brewing companies in America.
