Forget March Madness — This is March Sadness!

Join us for March Sadness — a comedy event that's anything but sad!

MARCH 2018 – While college hoops fans prep their grids and secure their predictions for March Madness (and let’s be honest, who ever really gets that far?!), we have something even better — and don’t let the name fool you. On March 9, the Chicago Athletic Association hotel will host a brand new event: March Sadness. This event from Founders Comedy will bring together the Final Five (instead of the Final Four … get it?!) for a night of improv, solo stand-up sets and more in the hotel’s historic basketball court.

Tickets to the event cost $15 and doors open at 8 p.m. with a start time of 8:30. Clare Austen-Smith will host and DJ Michael David Smith will hit the decks. But you’re not necessarily coming to dance, are you? You want to know who’s going to make you laugh, right? So, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, the Final Five:

  • Jarrell Scott Barnes – MLK’s of Comedy, Laugh Factory
  • Boots Improv– iO Comedy Theatre
  • Preach Improv – LA Diversity Comedy Festival
  • Vik Pandya – Zanies Comedy Club, Team US Comedy
  • Odinaka Ezeokoli – Netflix’s “Easy”

And yes, you can get drinks, which may or may not make the comedy funnier. Or sadder. It is March Sadness, after all. Don’t miss out. Get your tickets now.
