Drinking Coffee With the Mayor

Rahm Emanuel shares his favorite spots in Chicago for a java fix...

Mayor Emanuel, who was just elected to his second term April 7th in the city’s first-ever mayoral runoff election against Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, spoke with Crain’s Chicago Business earlier this year about his favorite places to get caffeinated. He likes pour overs and dark roast and he’s a man of local spots and not a fan of Starbucks or Dunkin. So where does Rahm like to get his fix? Here’s just a few:

·      Asado in Lakeview at 1432 W. Irving Park

·      Bow Truss near the Merchandise Mart at 406 N. Wells

·      Dark Matter in Humboldt Park at 738 N. Western

·      Fleck’s Coffee in Chatham at 343 E. 79th

·      Baker & Nosh in Uptown at 1303 W. Wilson

·      Greenline in Woodlawn at 501 E. 61st

·      Metropolis Coffee Company in Edgewater at 1039 W. Granville
