Curl Up With a Great Book & Glass of Wine

Cindy's sommelier says books + wine = the perfect pair

When it comes to wine pairing, naturally we first think of food. Maybe chocolate. But words? That’s not usually top of mind, but think about it: How often have you pulled out a favorite book, curled up on the couch and poured a glass of wine to sip while falling deeper into your read? Makes sense now, no?

Sterling Knight, our sommelier at Cindy’s Chicago, pulled together a list of her favorite bottles of wine and talks about how to pair them with some fantastic books. Read on, intrepid readers…

Don’t like reading? If you’re really not into reading, check out the It Took A Village exhibit by Clay Hickson in our ARTSHOPPE downstairs in the Chicago Athletic Association hotel area by the Madison Avenue entrance lobby. Then pop upstairs for a drink in the Drawing Room, Game Room or Cindy’s. You can discuss the art while sipping on a glass of wine. Or a cocktail. Either way, you won’t be disappointed.
