Those long lines to get into Cindy’s when it opened in the late afternoon will be a thing of the past. OK, maybe they won’t go away entirely, but now you may have to queue up a wee earlier because Cindy’s, the gorgeous rooftop restaurant at the CAA, just started serving lunch.
Starting April 5, chef Christian Ragano added a deliciously exciting lunch menu that focuses on individually portioned meals versus Cindy’s traditional sharing sizes. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., guests can dine on beautiful chilled English pea soup, spring lamb tartare, crab and uni tartine and Cornish game hen among many other dishes. Executive pastry chef Jove Hubbard gets in on the fun with some wonderful desserts including lemon meringue pie and strawberry rhubarb trifle.
And don’t think spirit guide Nandini Khaund forgot about you. She’s devised some intoxicatingly fun drinks like the gin-based Snow Leopard with kombucha, grapefruit and sparking rosé; and the Pillar of Hercules with Bruichladdich Scotch whiskey and Manzanilla sherry with Mallorca melon shrub, candied hibiscus, mint, lemon and soda.
