If you love ideas and the idea of getting together with people to talk about those ideas and then seeing those ideas come to life … well, you need to take part in the Chicago Humanities Festival.
Since its start in 1989, the CHF has aimed to make us think, to have us push boundaries and our levels of comfort. Through engaging talks, discussions, workshops and sessions, the CHF brings together some of the best thought leaders of our day. This year, the CHF runs between Oct. 29 and Nov. 12 and will host dozens of events like “The Rise of Isis,” “Pullman: Past and Future,” “The Politics of Pot” and “Andy Warhol’s Photographic Velocity.” There will be speaker sessions from the likes of Maureen Dowd, Dan Savage and Penn Jillette; live musical concerts, dance showcases and other really cool things going on at locations around the city. Check out the full schedule and get tickets before it all sells out.
