3 Spots to Pop Bubbly

Raise a glass to the holidays

The holidays are a time to celebrate, to gather with friends and family, to reflect on the outgoing year and look forward to a fresh start. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate all the good than by raising a glass of bubbly. There are plenty of places you can get Champagne and sparkling wine, but here are just a few great spots to fill your glass and say, “Cheers!”

Pops for Champagne: If the name doesn’t give it away, Pops, set in the heart of River North, is bubbles Mecca. The long-open Champagne bar offers a menu of 200-plus Champagnes and sparkling wines, which is even more reason to celebrate. 601 N. State

The Boarding House: With a list built by owner and master sommelier Alpana Singh, you know you’ll get some great options. Singh’s list has about 30 offerings, including prosecco, cremant, blanc de noirs and, of course, Champagne. No matter what you choose, when you’re sipping beneath a chandelier crafted out of hundreds of wine glasses, you can’t help but feel glam. 720 N. Wells

RM Champagne Salon: Tucked down a cobblestone alley behind Nellcôte in the Fulton Market District, RM Champagne Salon evokes a feeling you’ve traveled to a hidden salon in Paris. The cozy room offers the perfect romantic hideaway to sip bubbly, many from small, unique producers, all night long. 116 N. Green
