Hop to It at the Field Museum

Drink beer at the Field Museum


People have been brewing and drinking beer for millennia. And the Field Museum pays respect with the release of Wari Ale. The limited-edition beer will be revealed during the Hop To It event on March 3 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. The beer gains inspiration from the Wari people who lived in southern Peru between 600 and 1050 A.D. The beer is crafted with purple corn and molle berries and came to be after a team of Field Museum researchers uncovered relics of the Wari people. Off Color Brewing worked with the Field Museum to come up with the beer using an ancient recipe to produce a delicate-flavored, pink-hued beer. Tickets for the event cost $35 for museum members and $40 for non members. Everyone goes home with a commemorative glass.
