Chicago Outdoor Music Festivals in June

Listen to live music outside in June

Chicago is one of the best live music cities in the country and come summer, we take things up a notch. Yes, we have the big fests like Pitchfork and Lollapalooza, but there’s so much more. Between free shows in Grant Park and ticketed events at Northerly Island, there’s something for everyone.

Blues Fest: The largest free blues music festival takes place in Grant Park June 10-12 with performers Shemekia Copeland, Irma Thomas and Fred Wesley and a tribute to Otis Rush.

Spring Awakening: If you’re into EDM culture, there’s no hotter spot than Addams/Medill Park June 10-12. Check out sets from Jamie XX, Kaskade, RL Grime, deadmau5 and more.

Windy City LakeShake: One of the city’s biggest country music festivals returns to FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island June 17-19. Stars Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Sam Hunt, Martina McBride and more will shake things up over three days.

Taste of Randolph Street: The city’s hottest restaurant row gets even hotter June 17-19 as restaurants like BellyQ, Vivo, Nonna’s, Publican Quality Meats, Cemitas Puebla, Chicken Shop, Wishbone and more serve up bites while bands including Peter, Bjorn & John, MS MR and Atlas Genius play live sets.
